Delhi Police said more than 118 personnel were hurt during Monday's CJP protest, among them a Special Commissioner, a Joint Commissioner and several women officers, and that around 60 protesters were also injured. The force said demonstrators pelted stones, breached barricades and damaged 15 to 20 government vehicles. About 70 people were detained and an FIR is being registered.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said two Palestinian men were shot dead by Israeli forces on Monday when a group of settlers attacked a village in the occupied West Bank overnight. The Israeli military said its troops opened fire after being pelted with stones. One of those killed, Awda Farakhneh, 53, was buried in Deir Jarir, northeast of Ramallah.

India's largest carrier IndiGo said on Monday it will order over 1,000 engines from CFM International to power 510 aircraft from the A320 neo family. The memorandum was signed at the Farnborough International Airshow in the UK. CFM is an equal joint venture between GE Aerospace and Safran Aircraft Engines. India deposited its instrument of acceptance on Monday to become a party to the WTO Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies, the Commerce Ministry said. India's core industrial sectors expanded 5% in June 2026, the quickest pace in five months, in the first release of a rebuilt Index of Core Industries. The Commerce Ministry shifted the base year from 2011-12 to 2022-23, added iron ore as a ninth sector and revised weights and estimation methods. Iron ore led the index with 43.9% growth.

Suresh Battini, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, said in Visakhapatnam on Monday that direct tax collections across the two states grew 19.47% in the opening quarter of 2026-27.
