At least 35 killed as two buses collide on Syria's Damascus-Deir ez-Zor highway
At least 35 people were killed and several injured when two passenger buses collided in central Syria on the Damascus-Deir ez-Zor highway, between Palmyra and Al-Sukhnah, Al Jazeera reported. One bus was carrying security-forces members and the other civilians, the Interior Ministry said. Helicopters flew the injured to Homs Military Hospital. Officials said early signs point to speeding or driver fatigue.
