Venezuela tells UN it is withdrawing from the ICC, alleging bias
Venezuela has formally notified the United Nations of its 'irrevocable' decision to withdraw from the International Criminal Court, Foreign Minister Felix Plasencia said. The ICC has run a multi-year investigation into members of Venezuela's armed forces and other officials. Plasencia, posting on X, alleged the court shows 'geographical bias', disproportionately targeting Global South nations in Africa and Latin America.
