Rights panel seeks Rajasthan report on school strip-search allegations
The National Human Rights Commission took suo motu cognisance on Monday of reports that two teachers at a government school in Liwali village, Sawai Madhopur, searched Class 9 and 11 girls after one said Rs 1,000 had gone missing. The students were allegedly beaten and made to remove clothing; no money was found. The panel has sought a state report.
