Motorsport body FMSCI gets NSF status, boosting F1's India return bid
India's Sports Ministry has granted provisional National Sports Federation status to the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India, boosting efforts to bring Formula 1 back. In a July 23 order, it told FMSCI to align its rules with the 2025 sports-governance law. Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya is targeting an F1 race by 2028; India last hosted at Buddh in 2013.
