Karnataka CM tells officials to get into the field on drought relief

Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar warned Karnataka officials against negligence in handling the drought, naming drinking water, cattle fodder, crop-loss insurance and new borewells in rural areas as the priorities. He pressed them to make field visits instead of relying on paperwork and data, and to be ready with facts and figures for inspection teams arriving shortly from the Centre.
